What is a Digital Badge?

Digital badges are a certification or validation of learning and accomplishments. They can validate skills and competencies, link to evidence of those skills, recognize mastery, or program participation.

However, badges can be so much more than the image they represent or a paper certificate. They can link to a larger description of the journey a learner has explored.
